Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong (Lapsang Souchong) is the first red tea in history, created by accident over 400 years ago in Tongmu Village, Wuyi Mountains. This tea became the progenitor of all red teas worldwide and the foundation of the British tea tradition. It exists in two styles: smoked with pine smoke and unsmoked with a honey-fruit profile.

The leaf, brewed

The smoked version delivers a deep pine-smoke bouquet with notes of dried longan, honey, and caramel, while the unsmoked version offers a soft floral-fruity profile with honey sweetness and a full body.
