Dian Hong Ye Sheng is a rare red tea made from the leaves of wild tea trees (Camellia sinensis var. assamica and C. taliensis), which can be hundreds of years old. The infusion has a full, powerful flavor with honey sweetness, notes of dried fruits, spices, wild herbs and damp earth, a light “wild” astringency and a long-lasting aftertaste. Thanks to its lower caffeine content and high amino acid levels, it provides a calm, steady energy and is highly prized by connoisseurs for its pristine character.

The leaf, brewed

The aroma evokes tropical fruits, honey and spices with a woody-earthy undertone; the flavor is dense, sweetish, with a lively sourness and a long herbaceous-fruity aftertaste.
